That is one seriously good-looking car. As mentioned to us by a senior BMW official earlier this year, the new Z4 is set to be the most gorgeous looking BMW yet. Unfortunately, we’d have to take his word for it as the new Z4 won’t be unveiled until next year and as far as these spy photos and rendered shots show, it looks pretty sexy. The new BMW roadster will no longer use the current car’s lightweight canvas roof, opting instead for a trick, multi-piece metal roof, ala-SLK. For BMW, the advantages of choosing the hardtop far outweighed the disadvantages of increased weight and reduced boot space. To put things into perspective, the hardtop roof used on the 3 Series cabrios weigh as much as two full sized adults – a definite drawback to the car’s handling attributes. |

Expected to be unveiled at the Los Angeles Motorshow, the new F430 Scuderia Spider is Ferrari's most expensive F430 yet, with a price tag north of 250,000 Euros. Sharing the same lightweight materials as the hard-top Scuderia, the Spider is expected to do 0-100km/h in under 3.6 seconds and a top speed of at least 310km/h with the roof up. Right now, the Scuderia Spider is largely brandished as the Spideria - to Ferrari's chagrin - around the web and a fair amount of criticism has been laid upon the car, claiming that a topless Scuderia is a pointless exercise, since it will hardly share the same rigidity as the coupe.

Balik Kampung Fever Prices for crude have dropped fairly substantially over the past week. As reported in NST last week, the Government is looking for another review of pump prices this Wednesday. Will it drop another 15 sen or will we see a drop that's a tad more substantial? We'll find out this Wednesday then. Just in time for Raya. At least we're sure that pump prices won't increase. |

Whoah, what the heck is this? Exactly what the LP560 should’ve looked like. The Jeremie Paret project is shod with Asanti Diamond wheels and pink brake calipers. With carbon fibre side skirts and front bumper, finished with a Reventon style front lip the Paret LP560 is the absolute dog’s danglies. |

New Golf GTi: Same old, same old?
Taken from CAR magazine’s website, these are the first few photos of the new sixth generation Golf GTi caught undergoing hot-weather testing before making its debut on 2nd October at the Paris motorshow. Unwrap all the black masking and the GTi’s fat new lines and that all-familiar grille is easily recognizable. Another major change is the car’s new exhaust system, seeing as the new GTi has given up today’s current blown engine for a brand new Audi sourced turbo engine that is set to be greener, more economical and slightly more powerful.

Virtually Real. What in the world… After numerous complaints that Citroen and Polyphony Digital were showing too little of the new concept GT, they’ve happily decided to reveal a slightly less vague – though still pretty damned useless - photo that shows a huge gaping air dam protruding from the cloth cover. So is it real car or something you can download over the net for use in GT5 Prologue? A little bit of both, actually. Expected to be unveiled simultaneously during the Paris Motorshow, showgoers and car fans around the world will have a chance to see – and drive – the concept car. Is that the front or back of the car? From the looks of it, we believe that’s the rear of the car. As you can barely makeout, there’s a strangely positioned trapezoidal exhaust pipe and a very, very wide carbon fibre venturi. Hopefully we’ll see more of this car as we get closer to the vehicle’s launch in a couple of weeks. |
