If you're rich, you're invited.
Expected to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show next month, the new, highly awaited Ferrari California has been revealed to a select group of clients on the 19th September 2008. Unveiled simultaneously at both Maranello and Los Angeles (where else?) each venue was told to have held over 1000 specially invited guests. As per usual, Ferrari's current F1 drivers Raikonnen and Massa were available to help bring credence to the launch, along with Ferrari's mascot, Michael Schumacher who has, as usually, had a significant amount of input into the production of the new droptop. For those hoping that the California would be an 'entry-level' Ferrari ala Porsche 911, you can forget it. Priced just under the range topping Scaglietti, the new California is set to be very, very expensive. Powered by the same engine seen in the F430, albeit, powered to 460bhp and placed mid-front, the car can launch from 0-100km/h in under 4 seconds. |

That’s a really, really, green car. It definitely is. Aside from the paint job (finished in a special bright green paint with inlaid metallic flake which is an interpretation of the 1970s Le Mans Green of the Escort RS1600) the Focus RS isn’t a tree-hugger’s dream mobile. Expected to go on sale in early 2009, the Focus RS is a serious high performance car for driving enthusiasts. Seeing as this is the second Focus model to carry the RS mantle since the 1970 Escort RS1600, the hot for teacher Focus should be suitably awesome to drive.

You’d need to be an anorak to see the changes. It doesn’t look any different… You got that right. The ‘new’ 3-series has just been unveiled thanks to an American website that had published the photos ahead of schedule. From the photos, the new 3 looks very, very lightly revised. Aside from the amazing ability to traverse 100km on a single gallon of fuel, the new 3-series isn’t really all that new. Oh and the bonnet and rear LED light assembly are new too.

This car does nought to a hundred faster than you can say, A,M and G. What? Another super powered AMG? Yup. The SL65 AMG Black Series uses the bi-turbo V12 engine, same as the SL65, albeit with a raft of modifications. All this fettling has garnered the Black with a mind-boggling 661bhp and 1000Nm of torque. All this power comes at a price though; a cool ₤250,000. |

So this is the new BMW 7-Series then. Yup. Thanks to a bunch of webmasters, the 7-series is being ‘unveiled’ a few months ahead of its Paris motorshow debut. The new 7-series is BMW’s fifth iteration of their flagship car. Despite sharing some cues with the Concept CS (the imposing front snout being the most obvious) the car looks a lot like an extended version of the outgoing model. Thankfully, the technical highlights of the car is beyond that of the already amazing Mercedes-Benz S-Class, propelling the 7-series up front once again.
