My first car's the Batmobile.
As spotted by our forumer Tabrizi, the new Lamborghini made its debut at the Frankfurt Motorshow. Modelled on a fighter plane, the limited run Lambo known as the Reventon is expected to cost a cool million Euros. That's a further 700,000 Euros on top of the already expensive LP640. Named for the bull that killed toreador Felix Guzman in 1943, the Reventon is the ultimate Murcielago, even more ultimate than the already ultimate LP640. The Reventon is expected to be lighter, more powerful and entirely bespoke.Big numbers accompany this bespoke Lambo, with 0-100km/h times of 3.4 seconds and a top speed on the dark side of 340km/h.

An even faster way to go school. Just.
Now this is mental. There should only be one or two ways of ferrying your children to school quickly. But these days there’s more than a handful. Hot on the heels of Mercedes’ announcement comes Audi’s riposte; the Audi RS6. Not to confuse yourself with the S6 (or the upcoming RS6+ Saloon), the RS6 Avant uses an uprated version of the 5.2 liter V10 engine seen in the Gallardo, R8 and yes, you guessed it, S6. Oh and the S8 too. With two turbochargers, a Quattro drivetrain and a massive 580bhp, the RS6 is expected to be brutally quick. On paper stats claim that the massive 2025kg Avant can accelerate from rest to a hundred in 4.6 seconds, almost exactly the same as the – 100bhp less - AMG. To counter balance this, Audi claims that the RS6 does 0-200km/h in just 14.9 seconds which is – apparently – quicker than the Merc by a few tenths of a seconds. Really crucial for those all important track day meets. But the trump card for the RS6 lies within its huge torque curve with the full 650Nm of twist available from 1,500rpm all the way to 6,250rpm. So it’s usable, it’s honestly quick and is unlikely to come over here.

The fastest way to get your kids to school.
Having a shooting brake in Malaysia is something of an anomaly. Most families would much rather settle down for an MPV, which costs less and seats more. But everywhere else in the world, estates are de rigueur. And the faster you get there, the better. Enter the new C63 AMG Estate. With 457bhp, 600 monstrous torques and 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds, you’d get to your destination long before your kids could ask the immortal question of ‘are we there yet?’ Feeding the belly of the beast is AMGs naturally aspirated 6.3 litre V8. The same V8 you’d see in most – if not all – new AMGs today. Power is transmitted via Mercedes’ world famous 7G-Tronic, only this time around, there will be flappy paddles behind the wheel to keep all those soccer/PIBG/Alumni moms and dads happy. The AMG also boasts the largest luggage capacity in its class, with up to 1500 litres of space available at just a flip of a seat. Or three. With such a fantastic array of features at hand, the AMG looks set to conquer the world. Just try not to mention about fuel consumption or carbon emissions. Or if it’s coming to Malaysia.

Porsche pulls a Cayman with the new Cayenne GTS.
In the spirit of capitalism, Porsche has decided to do what it did to the Boxster by introducing another Cayenne to fill in the gap – which no one really asked for – between the Turbo and the Cayenne S. To ram home the fact that the Cayenne is indeed the supremo of sport SUVs, Porsche has chosen to unveil the Cayenne GTS at the Frankfurt motorshow, one of the largest motorshows in the world. Featuring a revised 4.8 liter engine (with 405bhp) and the same ‘love it or hate it’ looks (which is also now wider than ever before), the GTS is expected to bridge the gap between the Cayenne Turbo and the Cayenne S. A lowered stance (by some 20mm) coupled with an increased power output insures suitably hairy performance figures, with the GTS expected to hit the 100km/h benchmark 0.5 seconds quicker than the Cayenne S, at 6.1 seconds. Of particular note is the ‘bespoke’ chassis, which has been developed especially for the GTS. Now PASMs are no longer reserved for 911 purists, as the GTS too, comes equipped with electronically controlled dampers. In the looks department, the GTS takes a few cues from its biggest brother, the Turbo and gains a few points in that department with LED indicators and bright new colors that’d definitely make you stand out. As if the shape alone wasn’t enough. And we thought the Germans didn’t have a sense of humor.

Ferrari Says 'So What' To The Gallardo Superleggera & Porsche 911 GT2 with all new Scuderia 430
The new Ferrari 430 Scuderia will join the road-going V8 line-up alongside the F430 coup and the F430 Spider. The 430 Scuderia is a truly high-performance 2-seater berlinetta which demonstrates how Ferrari's Formula 1 know-how is carried across to its production cars.
The new model is a special series based on the F430 and is aimed specifically at Ferrari's most passionate and sports-driving oriented clients. Development focused on light weight, minimum trimmings and innovative technology. All this to exalt the car's extremely high-performance and ability to thrill the driver.
The new car can count on an extremely low weight-to-power ratio of just 2.45 kg per hp thanks to a low dry weight of just 1250 kg - 100 kg less than the F430 - and to the naturally-aspirated 4308cc V8's 510 hp at 8500 rpm.
Superb performance both on and off the track is assured by a series of cutting-edge solutions. There is the latest software - F1 Superfast - which reduces gearchange times to just 60 milliseconds, and new traction control which, for the first time, combines the E-Diff electronic differential and the F1-Trac traction and stability control in a single integrated system.
Vehicle dynamics, control and performance thus represent the zenith of Ferrari's achievements in terms of developing road-certified sports cars. The 430 Scuderia will be officially unveiled by Michael Schumacher at the IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt in September 2007.
