If you're rich, you're invited.
Expected to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show next month, the new, highly awaited Ferrari California has been revealed to a select group of clients on the 19th September 2008. Unveiled simultaneously at both Maranello and Los Angeles (where else?) each venue was told to have held over 1000 specially invited guests. As per usual, Ferrari's current F1 drivers Raikonnen and Massa were available to help bring credence to the launch, along with Ferrari's mascot, Michael Schumacher who has, as usually, had a significant amount of input into the production of the new droptop. For those hoping that the California would be an 'entry-level' Ferrari ala Porsche 911, you can forget it. Priced just under the range topping Scaglietti, the new California is set to be very, very expensive. Powered by the same engine seen in the F430, albeit, powered to 460bhp and placed mid-front, the car can launch from 0-100km/h in under 4 seconds.
